Thank you for taking time to look at my website, please contact me with any questions.
My name is Jane O’Brien, I am a fully qualified practitioner based in Barnsley and I specialise in fertility and maternity reflexology. I have been a member of the Association of Reflexologists from 2008. The Association of Reflexologist are the foremost aspirational and independent Professional Association for reflexology in the UK.

I will always try and work around clients with times of treatments, for those who work evening appointments are available.
I trained as a Reflexologist at the Yorkshire School of Clinical Reflexology based in Barnsley South Yorkshire where I also studied Anatomy and Physiology. Since then I have had further training in Fertility and Maternity, I have attended courses in London and Leeds and I now specialise in fertility and maternity reflexology.
I have a diploma in Pathology which has given me the specialised knowledge and understanding of aspects of the scientific basis of disease. I keep up to date with my CPD and two further courses have been in fertility/conception, I also compleated a Diploma in the Care and management of Diabetes.
I am very passionate about helping couples overcome fertility issues, I fully understand how frustrating trying to conceive can be and the heartache felt when it becomes unsuccessful. In 2006 My husband and I had two cycles of IVF, unfortunately things didn’t go to plan
The reason I trained to become a reflexologist was to try and help couples conceive by helping to reduce their anxiety and fears and just to have a relaxing positive approach whilst making the journey a calm and positive one.

Treatments works very well alongside conventional medicine. Treatments can be used to help support coulpes having Assisted conception treatments.

Treatments should never be used in place of seeking medical advice.

Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet correspond with different areas of the body. As a reflexologist I work holistically with clients and aim to work alongside allopathic healthcare to promote better health.
I treat the person not the symptom/condition. I can treat for relaxation, help with the release of tension , improved sleep, improved mood and increased welbeing.
Treatments are relaxing and are great for helping people who suffer from stress as a way of having time to fully relax.

What is stress?
stress has many effects on our body's, most people don't realise how much stress can effect us in our every day life's
When you perceive a threat, your nervous system responds by releasing a flood of stress hormones, including adrenaline and cortisol. These hormones fly round the body for emergency action.
Your heart pounds faster, muscles tighten, blood pressure rises, breath quickens, and your senses become sharper. These physical changes increase your strength and stamina, speed your reaction time, and enhance your focus—preparing you to either fight or flee from the danger at hand.
